Because my husband and I waited so long to decide to have a baby, our parents had given up hope that we ever would. We wanted to capture their reaction when we broke the news, so here’s us casually folding our announcement into conversation with my folks over breakfast.

We did it much the same way..We had been trying for 3 years so it was one of those things that didn’t get spoken about anymore.
posted on 2:12 pm on 9/21/09We went to my parents house for dinner and then told them it was “Parents Day”..which may be a real holiday but who knows. We gave them a card with a the ultrasound picture in it. My mom started screaming and dropped the card, my poor dad had no idea what was going one.
That was 5 years ago!
