Author Lenore Skenazy recently published "Free-Range Kids," an unorthodox parenting manual that brings up a pretty good point - when we were children, our parents didn't freak out about danger around every corner. So why do modern parents keep kids under strict surveillance? Even suggesting that maybe parents should let their kids have a little more independence got Skenazy labeled "America's Worst Mom" by ABC News.
