Not everyone is photogenic.
I accepted pretty early on in life that I unintentionally flashed my “bad side” whenever a camera was around and there wasn’t a thing I could do to stop it. For example:

Yeah, Not my best moment. I look kind of
creepy. Somehow my mother thought it was completely unnecessary for me to retake this photo, so I ended up handing this photo out to all of my 2
nd grade classmates.
Needless to say, I wasn’t
super popular in school, haha. But in all honesty, my mom pushing me to accept my (unphotogenic) self (among other imperfections) early on in life was a great character-building lesson. I ended up being voted class clown and I
know being able to laugh at myself and at things like handing out a completely regrettable picture to your peers got me there.
And in my mom’s defense, I bet she laughed her ass off when she saw this and knew it would make for a great story someday. She was right. This had about 100 likes on my Facebook! Thanks, MOM!
So let’s learn to embrace the “creep” in all of us! Here are a few more “awkward” photos from our youth:
